TINTS AND TIPS – HOW TO LIVE WELL WITH ANXIETY
I have had social anxiety and psychosis for many years. Anti-anxiety tablets make can me drowsy and tired. When I was in a psychiatry unit. A nurse refused to treat to my anxiety disorder and psychosis.
I have been in and out of hospital for nearly a year. Finally I am being treated for my mental health issues nearly a year later.
I researched on the internet if you can overcome anxiety disorder without medication.
YES you can. I recommend you seek medical care and work with your GP and mental health team.
Joining mental health support groups can also be beneficial.
I don’t have constant anxiety; I don’t need full time anti-anxiety tablets. The voices in my head due to my psychosis are triggering my anxiety disorder. Which is now being treated after an eight month battle.
There are many options and things you can do to help with anxiety and other mental health issues.
There will be days when we have bad anxiety, but we can make them day more manageable by doing the below activities. I will still be anxious, but the anxiety will be more manageable.
Write your anxiety triggers down and how you cope with them.
Crystal healing mediation works well for this.
MIND FOCUS HINTS AND TIPS ON HOW TO DEAL WITH ANXIETY.
Meditation.
Read self-help books.
Books you enjoy reading.
Positive thinking phrases, quotations and affirmations.
Writing and listening to meditation music together.
Continue my spiritual projects.
Read my divination and mindfulness cards.
Read mindfulness quotation books.
Use your cards against anxiety and positive cards.
Colour in your Tarot set or use a mindfulness colouring book with quotes.
Write letters to the Angels, pray to God and do Witchcraft spells with the Gods and Goddesses.
Visit the Altar’s every day.
Do something that makes you feel good about yourself.
Use crystals and incenses when mediating.
Spirit writing, (automatic writing).
Dowse over Chakra Mood Charts to pinpoint your exact mood.
(Dowsing the Chakra mood Chart will help you when it comes to writing your mood diary and working with crystals and mediation.)
Watch relaxing mediation videos on YouTube.
Work on my Mindfulness Workbook and My Mindfulness project book.
When all else fails play some Facebook games to distract your mind from the anxiety.
Be open about your feelings when you are writing your mood diary and writing letters to the angels.
I found sucking on ice-cubes and ice-packs very useful to help break anxiety and to live in present.
Fidget toys and also a really good way of breaking anxiety and helping you to focus on the hear and now.
Soured sweets can also be beneficial to help break anxiety disorder.
MY LIFESTYLE CHANGES:
I couldn’t cut out caffeine completely like I am meant to do. I have altered it.
One coffee in the morning.
One coffee in the afternoon.
One coffee at 6pm.
Drink night-time herbal teas during the day as they combat anxiety.
No activities after taking my sleeping medication.
Write down your anxiety trigger and use the above methods to help cope with the anxiety.
Take my dogs and the woods and field for half an hour. Listen to the trees in the wind, watch the birds in the trees, feel the grass under your feet and listen to mediation music.
Look out for symbols within the trees, within the grass, look at the clouds in the sky as they clue to help you overcome your current situation.
Allow Mother Earth and the Green Man to talk to you through nature.
One thing I will never change is the love I have on studying spirituality and reading a ton of self-help books to help me manage mental health issues.
